The routines he puts together are changed every 2-3 weeks to keep your muscles on their toes and to maximize their results. Changing to from higher weight/low rep, to lower weight/more reps, to compound reps or supersets and back again.
We’ve mainly focused on weight training, but I had him work with me for a few weeks ahead of a vacation on “conditioning.” Basically, high intensity interval training to drop weight. (It’s hard but effective.)
David is incredibly diligent, constantly watching form, proper cadence/speed of reps and checking in with you for the difficulty to give you more, less or keep the weight the same to maximize your workout.
When I’ve been extra sore or had specific problems, he’ll always run through different stretches and modifications to the exercise routines as necessary.
I am so glad David is my trainer! My main goal when I met David was to lose weight and increase my strength as I never really knew how to workout. After two years, I have lost weight and David has made me feel confident in the gym. He puts in the time and effort to ensure that I learn the barbell movements correctly and feel safe doing so. He also takes the time to make sure I understand the reason behind each exercise I am doing. I can proudly say that thanks to David I am now able to deadlift 200lbs and squat 170 lbs and have increased my overall endurance. I highly recommend him for any training you may need.
I love working out with David! He always listens to what my goals are and works to ensure I meet them by challenging me but never pressuring me to do something I am uncomfortable with. Through the time I’ve known him he is always furthering his education and knowledge of the industry and applying it in action. I first started working out with him in February 2019. Luckily I was paired with him after I bought a personal training package from LA fitness. At the time I was focused on losing weight and slimming down so we did a lot of cardio-based/high intensity workouts mixed with volume based weight training. I ended up finishing that package and meeting my body goals in time for my wedding. David listened when I told him how I wanted to look and tailored our workouts accordingly. When the gym was shut down because of COVID, David told me had started his own business and I’m so glad he did. Without being locked into any contract I was able to work out for longer sessions multiple times a week for less money than I was paying at LA fitness. Shortly after we began to work out at his facility, I found out I was pregnant! David was always very aware of modifications that we needed to make and listened to me when I felt I was doing too much. Rather than the high intensity workouts we were doing before we switched to olympic style lifting that focused on technique and leg, core and pelvic strength which I needed to birth a baby (all approved by my doctors/midwife team)! I continued to work out with him the remainder of my pregnancy and have felt very empowered the entire time. I’ve never felt stronger than I do at nine months pregnant at any other time in my life. My doctors and chiropractor have complimented how well I am carrying because of our workouts. I am days away from delivery now and I know that my work with David will pay off during labor and recovery!
